The woman behind Resilient Families Thrive

Hello! My name is Lynda, and recently I started Resilient Families Thrive. As a PA certified early childhood teacher, who has worked with families for more than 15 years, I’m on a mission to create a resource to empower moms with young anxious children to grow more resilient, loving, happier, families even in the middle of a triple threat of a global health, economic, and racial unrest pandemic.

On the front lines from Zooming with my preschoolers and from conversations with colleagues, I could see its potential emotional toll on families. So, I’ve reached out to mental health professionals and certified trauma therapists, and authors for science-based, mindful approaches, daily practices, activities, and techniques to curb fear, reduce anxiety, and increase mindfulness. That’s how my journey began with my blog Resilient Families Thrive.

Join me as we explore topics to empower millennial moms with mindful approaches to self-care, self-acceptance, mind-body awareness, managing emotions, navigating the new normal, stopping negativity before it gains momentum, being a better role model, and mood shifters.

Other topics to empower kids ages 3-8 include fun, mindful approaches to help your child to understand and manage emotions through games, story time, puppets, and other activities, to self-soothe, and to find creative ways to connect with peers.
